No Ear Has Heard

"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no mind has conceived – the things God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Cor. 2:9

Thanksgiving in Mexico

This week we have been enjoying my parents as they came down to Mexico to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. What a treat! The last few years we have had American friends to celebrate with, which is fun. This year was going to be different though, we didn’t know who would be able to celebrate with us as many friends moved this year. But thankfully, it worked out for the grandparents to come.

We’ve been having all sorts of adventures, from a trip to the mountains to a mariachi festival downtown, and they’ve gotten to go and watch the kids gymnastics and kung fu classes as well. My mom and I got pedicures yesterday too. It’s something I rarely do, and she even more rarely than I haha. I wanted to do it in the States this summer with her, but it’s about half the price to do here in Mexico, so we waited.

We are keeping up with the people we are coaching in church planting. It’s so fun to hear about one person starting a new group for married couples (many of whom don’t follow Jesus yet). Another person getting invited to share about Jesus in a village with no established church. Others are going through difficult times, but we also enjoy being someone they can go to when they need some encouragement. Leaders always need that, and it’s often difficult for them to know where to go for it.

Love this picture of church this weekend. One person praying with a family who has just suffered loss while she was facing some difficult things in their own family. But it’s neat to watch them all seek God together, because they know that only He has the answers they need for such hard times.

Enjoying some Christmas decorations at the mall.

Working on pies and cheese ball and other things today. 🙂 Enjoy your celebrations, Happy Thanksgiving.
